PERU: The commercial commitments generated

in the second Virtual Round of Fishery Products with Europe reached 15.8 million dollars, which was carried out with the participation of 21 exporters and 18 foreign buyers, reported the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PromPerú ).

In this activity, a varied and attractive exportable offer was presented, with squid, scallops, hake, prawns, trout and canned tuna being the prioritized products.

The exporters that participated represented the regions of Ica, Lima, Piura, Puno, Tacna and Tumbes. Of the total number of entrepreneurs, six participated for the first time in a virtual business conference.

Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Russia, were the markets that attended in the commercial platform. A total of 98 business appointments were held.

The products most in demand were squid (31% of the total), followed by scallops (24%), hake (11%), canned anchovy, tuna and mackerel (8%), prawns (5%) and others: eel , squid, octopus and anchovy (21%).
The second Virtual Round of Seafood Products with Europe was carried out in coordination with the PromPerú offices in Hamburg, London, Milan, Moscow and Paris. This activity is part of the digital transformation of commercial promotion events that is being developed to contribute to the internationalization of companies and enter new markets.

Exports of fishery products for direct human consumption between January and September reached 914.7 million dollars, of which 243.3 million corresponded to Europe.
